Lazy Days

From crazy days to lazy days…I love summertime! Hallie celebrated the end of her school year with an extremely disgusting whipped topping fight. What happened to good ol’ fashioned water fights I ask you? I seriously made her bathe twice she was so revolting…but the kids all had a blast, so I guess that counts for something.

Without preschool taking up a large majority of Jace’s time, his imagination has been in full throttle…here he is doing some repair work on Emerie’s walker. He’s a man’s man.

Emerie has finally emerged from her bedroom during her playtime…the house is now hers for the taking. While this seems to satisfy her for a longer duration she, unfortunately, found her adventures taking her tumbling down the stairs. Yeah, I know, I should totally be up for mother-of-the-year.

With all this extra time on our hands we’ve become quite creative with family activities this summer. Our newest pastime is watching Jace, who is a horribly picky eater, taste test all of Emerie’s baby food. It started out with fruits…not too terrible…but has progressed onto the dinner entrees. I’m talking ham, rice and pineapple dishes. I waited for him to toss his cookies, but each time he just licks his lips and wants more. Tonight Hallie didn’t want to miss out on the fun…so after Jace mmm-mmm’d the vegetables and chicken, she decided she’d like a bite as well...I don’t think Jace and I have ever laughed so hard together as we watched Hallie dry-heave her way to the bathroom. Good times in the Pursel home.
Our other past time is attempting to get Emerie to pull her faces at us…she’s a pro. Here’s what we’ve been able to get so far…

With the rest of the summer still ahead of us it’s kind of scary to imagine what we’ll be resorting too for pleasure when this is where we’ve begun.

The sky is the limit, I suppose...

Looks like you guys are having some good times. We need to get together sometime in July or August. I can't believe Jace likes baby food. I guess I should get my picky eater to try it out.

That is the funniest thing with Jace fixing up the walker and too cute. And your creative fun sounds like a blast. Cute pics too. All the crazy faces and whipped topping fights sounds like it keeps you guys pretty busy.

that is hilarious that your kids eat all of emerie's food. i'm ashamed to admit that i really like the baby meat sticks. too much information.

ANYWAY...emerie's faces are hilarious...can't WAIT to see that girl!

Hey, I am so glad that we all have a way to keep in touch. I feel so bad I didn't even know you had another baby. She is so cute. I love the name too. I have only heard that one other time. Anyway, your kids are darling. I hope someday we can all get together again. I miss good friends. and good times.

What a cute family! The last time I saw you was at Jessica's baby shower and I think Jace was just a couple weeks (months?) old. Its so good to see what you've been up to! It will be fun to peek into your life every once in a while.
